Carnival Shares Onboard Party List for New Australian Ships

Carnival Cruise Line is well-known for its fun party atmosphere, with multiple themed events onboard every sailing, every week. Each ship has its own unique lineup of fantastic events, often carefully selected for each specific vessel and the region she is sailing.

With two new ships – Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter – having entered the fleet in the last few weeks, which parties can guests expect when sailing Down Under?

The response to the new ships has been phenomenal, and guests are eager to get their groove on, cut a rug, and get jiggy with it – Australian style!

“We are so excited that Carnival Encounter and Carnival Adventure have joined the Carnival Splendor and bookings for all three ships show that Aussies and New Zealanders love cruising, love Carnival and take FUN to an epic new level,” John Heald, Carnival Cruise Line’s Brand Ambassador, said.

“Seeing so many of you flying to Australia from the USA, Canada, and Europe to experience Australia and then cruise with us is fabulous!”

Not every guest is happy, however, because the onboard parties for the Australia-based ships were not released when the fleet’s party list was updated in January.

At that time, plans were still being finalized for Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter, including their cruise directors and Fun Squad teams. Those enthusiastic crew members play a huge part in which parties are held and how successful the events may be.

Now, however, Heald has updated the event schedule and noted exactly which parties are to be found on each vessel.

The exact schedule of parties will vary based on departure date and cruise length. Guests should check their Carnival Hub app for the times and locations of events and activities once they set sail.

Carnival Splendor Parties

Sailing from Sydney, Carnival Splendor is the largest of Carnival’s ships homeported year-round from Australia. The ship offers itineraries that range from 3-night cruises to nowhere to 12-night Fiji and South Pacific explorations.

Along the way, guests can celebrate their oceangoing vacations with themed events like the Island Party, Backyard Bash, Super Hero Music Party, and of course, the iconic 80s Rock-N-Glow – always a popular event.

Classic favorites like the Silent White Disco, Legend of Lido, and Rock the Promenade, as well as the iconic Sail Away Party, are also planned onboard.

Fans of the Swedish pop group ABBA will also love the ABBA Music Party – a great chance to enjoy their favorite tunes with other fans!

Carnival Adventure Parties

Now offering cruises from 3-12 nights alongside Carnival Splendor from Sydney, Carnival Adventure has adventurous parties indeed for everyone onboard!

Each cruise will of course start with the energetic Sail Away Party to get everyone in the mood as they start their voyage, and the parties won’t end through the entire cruise.

From the White Hot Party to the 80s Rock-N-Glow to the 90s Dance Party, there is something for everyone. And if you can’t decide which music you prefer, the Decades Trivia Party can give you a bit of everything.

Carnival Adventure will also feature popular classics, including the Silent Party, Rock the Promenade, and Legend of Lido, while younger cruisers will get into the swing of things with Conga for Kids.

An ABBA Trivia Party, the Island Night Party, and Live at Carnival Adventure Hotel round out the parties onboard. Of course the schedule will vary on different sailings, and shorter cruises will not be able to accommodate every event.

Carnival Encounter Parties

Guests will encounter their very best fun sailing from Brisbane aboard Carnival Encounter on itineraries from 3-15 nights. While shorter itineraries are more common, select longer sailings do offer even more time to party.

The celebrations will of course kick off with the Sail Away Party, and guests will also be able to enjoy the ever-popular 80s Rock-N-Glow party with its classic tunes, big hair, and day glo wear.

Also onboard will be the energetic Decades Party, sure to span all ages and generations with exciting music and dancing.

Of course, these parties don’t include the other awesome events onboard each ship, from trivia contests to dance lessons to games and more.

No matter whether you’re sailing to Fiji, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Airlie Beach, or other great destinations, there’s plenty of fun to be had Down Under!
